Sharon Malcolm has been a missionary with Go To Nations (GTN) since 1998. In 1999 she completed the GTN missionary training program, at that time called the Timothy Project, in Petèn, Guatemala and then stayed on to serve with the GTN team. During that time she helped with the training program and to facilitate short-term teams in addition to following up on initial contacts with some Indian communities in order to establish viable relationships for evangelism. She later devoted all of her efforts to working in these and other rural villages doing community development work through projects such as water filters, chimney stoves and adult literacy to help improve the quality of life in the villages. These projects afforded the opportunity to evangelize and disciple new believers with the goal for a total community transformation.
