Since the age of 11, I have been dreaming of a big party for my 18th birthday. My dream of having a big party was radically changed in February 2012, when I attended the women's conference, Daughters of the King, held in Khon Kaen,Thailand. The conference was organized and hosted by Sandra Kuehn, Go To Nations Asia Pacific Director, and her daughter Rebekah. Faith’s idea of a big party was radically changed and replaced with the God-given desire to host a youth mission conference instead. Asian Youth Ablaze was birthed.
“And if the bugler doesn’t sound a clear call, how will the soldiers know they are being called
to battle?” 1 Corinthians 14:8 (NLT)
This year was a new season for Ablaze. We were able to experience and witness how God is connecting the two generations, of where there is no generational gap, but imparting the anointing that our leaders carry to the new breed of missionaries. We had 128 delegates from different countries (Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, United States of America, Brazil and India) join together for the cause of the Great Commission.
God gave us the theme of Armed to Invade. He showed us that each nation carries a specific calling and anointing to release over the whole world. As the Body of Christ joins together to fulfill the Great Commission, laying down all of our personal agendas and dismantling our own kingdoms, we will surely see the Spirit of God at work in fullness.
“It’s time to dismantle our own kingdoms and armies and join God’s armies.” Out of the chaos of this world, God’s calling is arising! We had many testimonies of how God used Ablaze to bring forth their God – given calling for the nations:
“During the Ablaze, God has called out my destiny.” –Hannah Atkinson, USA
“I wanted to quit on my ministry but during Ablaze He restored me and revived my calling.” –Snow, Cambodia
“God spoke to my heart that I am called to be a missionary.” –Ploy, Thailand
