This may sound like a no-brainer, but it is the most essential step you can take, not only in the missions process but also in life. Catch the heart of Father God, ask for His guidance and wisdom, be specific and purposeful. Dream big, God-sized dreams and pray big, God-sized prayers, and watch the impossible begin to unfold in your life.
Local Church Support
When going to the mission field, it is important to have a strong home church that believes in you, prays for you, and walks with you through the preparation process. When you meet with your church leadership, be prepared to share about what God has done in your heart regarding missions. The key is to bring the church leadership up to date on your missions desires and ask them to help you pursue the call of God on your life. Follow all the procedures your church may have established.
